Saturday, after visiting Six-O, I headed over to the Paluxy and waded for a few hours. Caught around 14 small bass and a few sunfish. Had a few surprises.

Hot and the water was low...

Quite a few small bass...

A deformed bass with a very intense pattern...

despite the kink in the lower part of his body he was a fast swimmer and fought hard.

The first red breasted sunfish i have EVER found in the Paluxy!

Hi Jonathan
ReplyDeleteReally good looking runs to land those bass--by the way the deformed bass looks like a spotted bass. Did you ever get the flies I sent to you. The Black Gnat would be perfect in that type of water you are fising there. Great Post!!
BIll I did, and iI have used them. I like the black gnat/Yellow sally alot.
ReplyDeletethanks!
