Our Lady of Perpetual Ephemera

For some strange reason I cannot leave reply comments on my own blog. Its like google doesn't recognize me on my office computer, and since that is the only thing I have that accesses the internet. My email jlallred200@yahoo.com is a far more reliable way of conversing with me.

Here are some shots of osme nice grayling I caught in Lake Clark Alaska.

Melanistic grayling
This next fish is a hyper melanistic individual. Melinism, axanthism, anerythism, xanthism, leucisticism and the more widely known albinism are all generally simple recessive or codominant genetic traits in animals.

Kontrashibuna Lake Trout

As I have written, I recently returned from a week long fishing trip with friends and business associates on Lake Iliamna in Southwest Alaska.

I and my friend Pat took a float plane trip to Kontrashibuna, a high mountain, lake that feeds into Lake Clark. It was a turbulant flight through a few mountian passes but when we finally set down the lake was dead calm. We fished a couple areas where cold streams flowed into the Lake. I caught a number of lakers and landlocked char on white decievers & gummi flies on my 6wt witha full sinking line.

My favorite fish of the trip!
